The Evergreen Mindset: Our Educational Philosophy

A Christian Foundation meets the powerful principles of a growth mindset.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7

Founded in 1978, Evergreen Lutheran High School is fully accredited through the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod School Accreditation (WELSSA) recognized nationally through the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA). All of these organizations are non-profit, non-governmental organizations that accredit early childhood, primary, and secondary schools throughout the United States and internationally. This process includes a comprehensive review of school operations to ensure that improvements are continually being made and that a student’s experience will be of the highest quality.

The curriculum of ELHS is built upon the assumption that students should have a solid foundation of basic high school courses which will prepare them for future academic study or for a vocational career. All course offerings satisfy the requirements of the State of Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction. In addition to these subjects, all students are required to take courses in religion. All courses are taught by qualified teachers from a distinctly Christian viewpoint.
